The National Wildlife Federation Habitat Steward Training class is on hold due to Covid-19.
The North Carolina Wildlife Federation, in collaboration with two local chapters; Charlotte Wildlife Stewards (Charlotte) and HAWK (Matthews), will be hosting a National Wildlife Federation Habitat Stewards Training course. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in learning how to create certified wildlife habitats, the value and benefits of native plants, native NC wildlife, understanding the major elements of a healthy ecosystem , and important conservation initiatives.
Habitat Steward Training will take place at Matthews Community Center, located in downtown Matthews. Habitat Steward Training includes 24-hours of class time, expert regional speakers, and related materials. Participants must attend entire training. Class size is limited to 30 individuals. Volunteer commitment of 30 hours post-course is required for certification.
NCWF members are eligible for a special discounted registration rate. Non-members are asked to register at the general registration rate, but NC Wildlife Federation is pleased to extend a complimentary year of NCWF membership to those registrants.
